Nemanja Vidić has returned to action after a long injury lay off. He was injured just before Christmas in a Champions League tie, and missed the rest of the 2011/2012 season through this twisted knee. Vidic made his comeback against Valarenga, playing for a full hour in the 0-0 friendly draw.
It was on 7th December 2011, when Vidić got injured. He twisted his knee during United’s Champions League clash at Basel, and left the field on a stretcher. Manager Alex Ferguson later confirmed that he would miss the rest of the season, in a press conference. Vidić told MUTV :
“I felt well. My knee felt well, and hopefully the next game will be better”
This is a massive boost for United ahead of the new campaign, but what do you guys think of is hair?? He doesn’t look quite as intimidating as he usual does he, but I’m still sure defenders will be trembling when he is stood behind them!!
