The latest Arsenal star to become embroiled with the club in yet another long-running, will-he wont-he sign a new contract saga – Theo Walcott – has been told to “Sign Da Ting” by Arsenal fan Roxy Harris, in this grime song/video.
Walcott has entered the last year of his current Arsenal deal, and claims that his refusal to sign the new deal put in front of him by the club has nothing to do with money, but is more to do with his desire for the central striking role he feels he was promised when he first signed for Arsenal. Harris lets Walcott know exactly what he thinks of such demands in his video. Will the conclusions he draws make Theo a happy chappy? No – probably not.
Meanwhile – will the song change Walcott’s thinking as this thing drags on? Nah, again – probably not. But it might just make it a bit more bearable for the rest of us. Hopefully.
