“HIBBO SCORES WE RIOT” was the flag on display at Goodison Park and the fans got their wish as Everton veteran Tony Hibbert scored his first goal for the club in his own testimonial.
Everton invited Greek side AEK Athens as opponents for Hibbert’s special night and won 4-1 with new signing Steven Naismith grabbing a hat-trick before Hibbo’s magical moment.
The right-back struck in a low free-kick from 20 yards to send the home crowd into raptures and spill onto the pitch to celebrate.
Hibbert made his Everton debut against West Ham in March 2001 after many years as a club youth player and has the record for the most European appearances in the clubs history.
Hibbert currently holds the record for the longest run of appearances without scoring a competitive goal.

Well done Hibbo! He Scores When He Wants…. thanks for 10 years of service COYB
