Manchester City have confirmed the signing of 3 new players on transfer deadline day.
The pick of the bunch is Brazilian right-back Maicon who has joined from Internazionale for an undisclosed fee.
Maicon spent the last seven seasons at the San Siro with Inter winning an impressive four Serie A titles in consecutive seasons from 2006-2010 and picked up a Champions League winners medal in 2010.
The Brazilian is renowned for pushing forward from the back with pace and has impressive stats for goals and assists in a defensive position.
He sent a message to City fans upon signing today:
City also signed Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair on a four-year contract.
Sinclair has been instrumental for the Swans over the past two seasons which saw the Welsh club promoted to the Premier League and survive their debut season.
He featured in all of the clubs league games during that time, making 85 appearances and scoring 31 goals.
However football fans have disagreed with Sinclair’s decision to sign for the club as they believe he will not make enough first team appearances.
They may have a point considering he was offloaded by Chelsea two years ago after numerous trips out on loan to numerous clubs.
He gave his first exclusive interview to the club site:
The worlds richest club has dialled down the glamour a bit with the acquisition of veteran goalkeeper Richard Wright on a free transfer.
Having the best goalkeeper in the Premier League at this current time in Joe Hart the 34 year-old Wright will act as a backup.
Wright started off his career at Ipswich Town where he would become a hotly tipped England number one at the turn of the millennium which earned him a move to Arsenal.
Over the past few years he has slightly slipped off the radar with minimal appearances for Ipswich, Sheffield United and Preston North End.
With only a few hours to go on transfer deadline day will City make any more signings?
